Lieutenant Governor John Garamendi spoke in San Diego on Sept. 9 about building a green economy that protects the environment and creates good middle class jobs. About 120 people attended the luncheon, the latest event in the CPI Speaker Series.

Before serving as Lieutenant Governor, John Garamendi was California's Insurance Commissioner twice, was Deputy Secretary of the Interior in the Clinton administration, and served 16 years in the state legislature. He has been known as an advocate for the environment and for consumers.
